This was the site of my biggest slot win to date: a $6 Rich Little Piggies hit for $16,500 or so. But who cares? How are the slots?

They are OK. Nothing special, as Park MGM is right in the heart of the MGM/Caesars boulevard of casinos. It’s located near New York-New York and Aria, among others.

Of the casinos on the South end of the strip, I’d rank Park MGM toward the top, and not just because I happened to crush it once. I like the casino because it’s small, especially when compared to nearby places such as MGM Grand. And though New York-New York is relatively small too, it feels way more chaotic and labyrinth-like than Park MGM.

I’ve never stayed at the rooms at this place, but a buddy of mine who plays slots stays here every time he’s in Vegas, even though he gets the same free offers to stay at much nicer locals such as Aria and Bellagio. I can see why, as there’s something to be said for an easygoing casino in the heart of the strip.

Games-wise, it’s what you’d expect. Enough advantage games and lots of competition. Maybe a little easier than places such as Bellagio and Cosmo, but it’s still going to be rare to just walk up on some monster play. Still, I much rather check out a place like this than some giant casino such as Excalibur or MGM Grand.
