This is one of five videos from Harry Reid International Airport in Las Vegas. I am going to use the same intro post here for all of them. There are Terminals A, B, C, D, and E that I scouted for AP slots in 2025.
Is it worth getting to the airport six-plus hours early to try to pillage the AP slots? Sadly, I’d say no. At one point a few years ago, it was kind of a hidden gem. I’d get there 10 hours early sometimes and make at least $1,000 over that span.
This video was shot in 2025, but I’d be surprised if much has changed to make it better. There aren’t many AP machines, and the ones they have aren’t great. Of course, there’s also no airport players card—wouldn’t that be something if they had one—so if you’re spinning on a longer-run machine, you’re not getting any credit for it.
Further, the RTP (the percentage the average machine returns to the player) in the airport is set noticeably lower than anywhere else you’re likely to travel. I don’t know the exact RTP setting, but I can certainly feel it when I’m playing.
Things can always change in AP slots, as machines are brought in and out all the time. The airport used to have high-end machines such as Regal Riches and Power Push. Those are long gone…how sad. But hey, if things ever improve on this front next time I’m at the Las Vegas Airport, I’ll update this post.
