This is exceedingly important, and I’ve touched on it before, including in the post about good and bad signs for camping.
But why is it so important?
- If you identify a pro waiting behind a machine you might be interested in, don’t wait behind the same machine. He got their first, and until/unless he leaves, he gets the first crack at it should it become available.
- If a pro just came out of a certain section with AP machines and you think he just checked them, don’t waste your time going to that same area for a while.
- If you happen to be in the same area as another pro, check the premium machines first with the highest possible edge. Work your way down to the Buffalo Links and crappy games like that. They can wait.
- If you’re in a small area for an extended period (cruise ship, small resort, etc.), I’d suggest being friendly and making contact. Yes, it’s never fun running into another pro in this sort of setting, but I’ve met plenty of awesome people this way. And you never know what might materialize; I’ve chopped enormous plays with total strangers before.
- Don’t waste your time waiting behind a machine if a pro is the one on it. He’s not leaving.
I won’t overlap too much with what I said in other videos in this section, including how to identify these pros. But if you see someone walking around the casino, quickly checking a bunch of advantage machines, that’s a fellow slot hustler.
