Are we defining somewhere what “minimum play” means? I am guessing you will have different kinds of members here. Some will be fledgling/wannabe APs who need guidance toward a step in the right direction. I can imagine others will be ploppies who want to cut into their losses and maximize their gambling budgets. Others will be here for the message boards and to exchange up-to-the-minute information.

So a “minimum” play number will be something different for a veteran AP who wants at least 103% or more before they get involved. Compare that to someone like me, I am often happy to find a play at 100.0% some days, maybe because I am trying to maintain my card, or because “my $20 in free play has to go somewhere, and this game is the best I can do before the free play turns into a pumpkin at midnight”.

You get the idea. Different members will have different “go” numbers, depending on their situations. A full-time pro might not be interested in a proposition that’s only breakeven, but a knowledgeable-yet-recreational player might be very happy to find a game in that state.

Getting back to my question, for Buffalo Diamond you suggest the minimum play levels are “$0.75: 38+ green, 110+ blue, etc.”

Is this telling us that 38 green is 100.0% EV (or 0.0% EV), and so if I jump in at 38, I basically have a “fair” gamble on my hands? Or are the recommendations developed such that we believe every recommendation is already above 100.0%?

I’m cool with whatever the SlotSlayers recommendations happen to be, I am only asking if you are calling this out somewhere. Apologies if I missed this somewhere.

Great question. I sort of touched on that in the FAQ tab under “How do you get all your numbers?” I am fairly certain I referenced it in the book too. That said, it’s not right out in the open on the website as it should be. I will adjust it later today.

When I came up with the “minimum plays,” it was with the idea that you’d be in the green long term (sometimes very long term) by taking them at those numbers. Yes, the difference in one gem on a game like Buffalo Diamond matters very little, while moving “one” place in a game such as Treasure Box matters a great deal. So it can be a little tricky from game to game to say “always” 100% EV versus 101% EV or whatever.

But these are my numbers, which I often slightly tweak as I get more of a sample and intel from others whom I trust. These minimum numbers also assume an average RTP from the casino. So if you’re on a cruise ship (bad) or a place like Reno (often good), you’d want to tweak the numbers a bit.

Your point about comps is also important. For plenty of volatile games (heck, you can throw Buffalo Diamond in that category), I mentioned I don’t often even look at them if I don’t care about comps. If I’m in Biloxi, Mississippi, for instance, I may not even play a dangerous long-run game that I think may be a bit over 100% EV. But if I’m at my hometown casino or somewhere where I want to show action, I might knowingly dip below 100% in some situations.

Is there a way to add a profile photo above my name?

This is being worked on now. You should be able to post images now. I will go test it in Slot Wins

Something minor, but I noticed once we get to the second page of a post, such as in this thread, we need to click over to the next page. That might get a little annoying if a thread is many pages long. Would it make more sense for someone clicking on this to be directed to the most recent comment rather than the first page?

Yup, that works great now. On a much less important level, is there a way to upload a profile pic for our accounts?

On the main page before you click into a topic you can see how many pages each topic has. If someone wanted to just go to the latest they could click on the last page. In the image attached you can see the example.

True. Yeah, that is easy enough.
