Interesting. I haven’t seen that yet for that game, and I haven’t been able to see any videos posted online yet, either. If you’re not losing any wilds on that 10th and final spin on the counter, it sounds like it’s still beatable. And as you wrote, the location won’t matter in that case, either.
It may even be a little easier to look for plays, as you won’t have to factor in location. So, like the original, you’re going to want to be late in the counter, ideally, as you’re still paying for all those spins to reach 10. In the game write-up, it would make a board like that second photo much more valuable.
I wrote, “I’d lean no, even though it’s spin nine of 10 and you only need to invest one bet for those to all turn wild. Because they’re mostly so far to the right, you’re unlikely to get enough connecting symbols to make them factor in.”
But if those are now moving to random spaces on the screen and you’re investing just one spin, it goes from “leaning no” to “emphatic yes.” Having not played this version or heard about it yet, I’d go case-by-case for now. Something like five wilds on game 5 of 10 or later in the cycle, I’d be a player. But there may be more nuance to it that I’m not aware of yet.
