Many of these folks give the whole “profession” a bad name. In fact, I started recording some of them and taking photos; call it an art project of sorts. There’s a fine line between waiting behind a machine for a few minutes and sometimes practically sitting on a person’s lap:

Other folks will not leave a spot for hours at a time. I don’t know how they don’t melt with boredom, but they are there, hour after hour and day after day. To me, that’s such a bad look: sitting in a chair all day long and waiting for an opportunity to strike.
I’m no Henri Cartier-Bresson, but here are a few of my recent favorites:
