This may be the most iconic casino in the world. You don’t need a slot hustler to tell you that, though! What can I tell you? Well, when I think “heart of the Vegas strip,” I think Bellagio. It’s next to The Cosmopolitan and Caesars Palace and not far from all the other MGM and Caesars properties on both sides of the street.
The place is enormous and has AP games all over the place, including many in high limit. But being an MGM property in the heart of Vegas, the competition is out of this world. You could be there on a Tuesday at 3 a.m. (and I have been many times), and the casino will still be filled with fellow slot hustlers.
To find good plays, you’re almost always going to have to camp behind a set of machines. Of course, especially at an upscale place like Bellagio in 2026 and beyond, you will be watched. I would not use my players card unless it were for a long-run kind of play, and I’d be careful with checking machines in general. If you get banned at one MGM property, you get banned from all MGM properties, and trust me, they are banning folks.
Of course, I still check out Bellagio every time I’m in Vegas, but it’s damn hard to find plays without camping. The hotels are great, but it’s not my favorite place to stay while in Vegas. It can be a zoo in the lobby area and the casino in general. I much prefer Aria, which I find just as upscale without nearly as crowded a feeling.
