To my way of thinking, the hazards of the job are include dealing with things like variance, odd hours, smoky rooms, overdoing it on free casino food, etc.  But it also turns out that the TITO tickets themselves are another hazard to watch out for.

      After reading this article

I sent in a question to LVA QoD to ask if TITO tickets have the same junk (Bisphenol-S) in them that thermal cash register receipts have, and it turns out that they do.

Quitting slots is out of the question. So what I’m doing to avoid Bisphenol-S in TITO tickets is trying to handle my tickets as little as possible. This means I’m either putting tickets directly in my wallet instead of holding them as I walk around, or sandwiching them between a couple of $1 bills so that I’m not touching the TITO ticket except to load a machine or cash out.

A buddy sent me this same article. Not great. I’ve also tried to handle these tickets less frequently. Well worth the PSA.
