Anyone run into this before? Machine randomly spit out a voucher with my balance and became inoperable with the message “Host Disable – Cashout Allowed.” I was fast spinning Buffalo Ascension and this happened $150 in. I talked to an attendant who called her manager. I got scolded and got told this happens when people like me “try to get it to land on a specific reel.” I’m pretty sure the reel is predetermined once you hit it but whatever. It automatically turned back ten minutes later and I finished the play for like $13 bucks. The attendant said it happens with every game from that manufacturer.

Yup, it has nothing to do with it being an advantage machine (if that’s the concern). It sounds ridiculous they were giving you a hard time for their machine malfunctioning. Some people really are almost violent with their button smashing, so I’m sure they looped you in with those folks. But still, assuming you were polite enough, it seems weak for them to say anything like that.

Yeah I was definitely polite about it and wasn’t being aggressive to begin with, just playing fast. But in my head I was thinking “lady, I just told you I dumped $150 into this machine. Don’t you want me to continue?” When I first read “Host Disable” I thought “oh no, the eye in the sky spotted me and is going to kick me out!” I’m glad to know it’s common. Just have to play slower I guess.

Haha right. The customer service really is all over the place.
