SlotSlayers is live. We’ve done a lot of testing, but there will be bugs and problems. Let us know what you find and what you like and dislike. Or just check in here to say hi as a new member. We think the explanations throughout cover most of what you need to know, but feel free to ask questions here or in another thread. Looking forward to the possibilities.

One bug I’ve noticed from the pictures forum is that there isn’t a way to delete a post or replace an image. Of course, the poster bears some responsibility in being more careful, but sometimes you upload a photo that shows a location you may not want to show and want to take that down to crop the image to something more appropriate.

This is a neat idea, and I’m glad to see a dedicated slot AP forum/site that is run by reputable people.

Thanks for joining (and posting). You had a useful suggestion I wanted to pass along to see if this may be feasible (edited a bit):

On a different site, the user can edit their post within a certain time frame after it was made to correct obvious mistakes. After some time has passed, they can no longer. That way, people can’t go back in time and make discussions nonsensical by removing context.

Tanya, would something like that be possible?

Tanya is out until next Wednesday but I’ll forward this question to our tech manager who could figure if it’s possible or not.

Looks like it’s already possible. It is set for 5 minutes.

There is an “Edit” link right next to “Reply” to edit your post/comment.

My concern had more to do with being able to remove an image that had been posted. I was indeed able to edit the post, but I was not able to remove the photo and replace it without the help of an admin. The edit feature only allowed me to change text or add a new image, but did not allow me to remove the old image. Or if there was an option for it, it was not in an intuitive place and/or made clear.

Thank you for clarifying! I only phrased it how Ben said but the more specific the better.

You can now detach your own image from your message.

It should say “Detach” directly under your image.

Would it be possible to adjust the text so the Message Boards look a little cleaner on mobile? Attached is how it looks when I view the Message Boards on my iPhone. As you can see, it’s not all that hard to read, but there’s some overlap with the text, and some of the names extend a bit beyond the margins. On my computer, everything looks good.

Hey, for whatever reason I’m unable to reply to the thread titled “Truth or Fiction” in “Questions”. Whenever I click ‘submit’, the page just refreshes without the new comment.

It’s pretty frustrating, I spent some time drafting that reply.

Edit: Maybe the quote function or inserting a link is causing it? I’ll try again without using the quote function and without including a link to see if that changes things.

^ Interesting. I haven’t had that issue yet, but it’s worth monitoring for sure.
