My hometown casinos and the reason I travel so much for slots! Many advantage games in each, but lots of full-time advantage players as well. Interestingly, Mohegan Sun bans plenty of advantage players, including yours truly, while Foxwoods rarely does. Despite the “ban,” I turn up there quite a bit, and the competition is still quite fierce. If you go to Mohegan, do not use your players card. They are actively tracking APs. I would not recommend either casino, as they are in the middle-of-no-where Connecticut and are hard to beat unless you’re willing to put in the time.

In the middle of nowhere but with huge population centers (plural) within a reasonable driving distance. Thus many advantage players.

I generally like out of the way places for the same reason. Ilani in Washington, 17 miles north of Portland and the Washington/Oregon border, immediately comes to mind.

Yes, for sure. “Out of the way” can be favorable.
