    Regarding Spy vs. Spy.

Though it’s really tough to find now, I remember playing that one a lot from 2017-2019ish. The way the game worked was that it would switch between black and white, depending on which symbol most recently landed. It’s been such a long time since I’ve played it so please forgive if some of the details are off.

As I recall there were white/black bars, spys and 7s. Each time one of the same color lands on the reels (maybe it was just the 3rd reel) you collect the corresponding credit prize and it increases, if there was no credit prize yet, you wouldn’t be awarded anything (unless the paylines connected) and it would unlock the first credit prize.

The credit prize increment depends on how much the player is betting when they increase it, but it’s stable across all bet levels. So when somebody leaves a play, you’re always betting the minimum because the credit prizes are the same anyway.

If memory serves me correctly, hustlers were playing with any credit prize on the 7, or at least 300 credits on the bar or spy. You play until it switches to the other color, sometimes that happens immediately, sometimes you just never connect anything and you lose, but you’ll almost never lose very much. Occasionally you’ll go on a run of hitting symbols, so the prize keeps going up and you get awarded the prizes over and over again. The most common outcome though is winning a couple bucks, maybe even just one dollar and then it switches. The 7s are where the most value is.

The best situation is to have a civilian playing the maximum, they’ll almost always leave a play behind because the credit prize increments are based on the triggering bet, but you can collect them at any bet. The strategy is always to bet the minimum (50 credits) for that reason.

All of that said, I haven’t seen one of these in a casino in years. I’m sure there’s one or two out there somewhere, hell, I know were a couple of S&H Green Stamps are still located, some casinos are like time capsules, but it’s going to be super rare and not worth a whole lot.
