Horseshoe was underwhelming to say the least on the advantage slot front. This one and Monarch are the first two casinos you’ll see as you drive in to Black Hawk, and Horseshoe didn’t have much to sink your teeth into.
The bar games didn’t have Scarab or Golden Egypt (just Ultimate X), and unfortunately when I was there, the one Lobstermania was out of service. It did have an Angel Blade/Sword of Destiny pair that got up to 10 cent denoms, which was cool. Otherwise, there were a few Rich Little Piggies, two Rich Little Hens, four of the new Huff and Puff, one Dancing Drums, and a few others.
I would not suggest spending much time at Horseshoe for slots. While you’re at Monarch across the street, you might as well stop in a couple of times per day, but any more than that would be a waste of time.
