Aria is my go-to place to stay with I book through MGM in Vegas. It’s upscale, in that Bellagio level, but it’s not nearly as chaotic feeling to me. It’s located next to Cosmo and Park MGM and is across the street from many of the Caesars locations. It’s a large enough place, but it doesn’t feel nearly as enormous as a Caesars Palace or MGM Grand.
You’ll find some high-limit offerings and plenty of advantage games. Nothing really sticks out on the slots front; it’s what you’d expect from an MGM property in the heart of the strip. Aria also has a pretty big poker room if you’re into that.
I hear they just added a new upscale Indian restaurant called Gymkhana. I’m more of a “get whatever free crap I can” kind of guy, but I might have to make an exception and check this one out.
Anyway, despite the level of competition being extremely high on the advantage slot front, I have a soft spot for Aria. They have enough high-limit slots that every now and then you’ll stumble upon something special. There are also lots of bar games (Golden Egypt, Scarab, Ultimate X), which I always enjoy checking.
