Hello fellow SlotSlayers!
Hello all. Nice to be here and looking forward to diving in!
Welcome aboard! Feel free to use the message boards as often as you’d like.
Hello everyone. Happy to be here!
Love this place
Glad to hear it!
Hi!!! Gonna try this out for a month and see how it goes. My other half likes to play slots and I enjoy our time together, but she loses a lot. There has to be better way I said to myself, instead of looking for bigger bags of coins, one firecracker left to burn, or bigger cooking pots. Searched the internet, bought the book on Amazon, heard the podcast, and now I’m here.
You came to the right place. There are more “perceived persistence” slots (what you’re describing) than ever before. This site will clearly break down what you should be looking for. I’m also going to upload more of these fake advantage-play slots to an existing blog post soon.
Love the website and book. I went to our local casino this past weekend with some cheat sheets saved on my phone. Played more slots in one day than I’ve played in my life. And won enough to pay for my annual membership. Thank you for all the useful information.
Awesome! Glad to hear it.
I all new here and excited to learn!!! Retire in 2 years and hopefully this will be a great side gig.
Nice! It’s perfect for that if you enjoy getting a lot of steps in.
If somebody’s brand new would you suggest starting off with the green tagged slots…. And what size bankroll?
What’s great about advantage slots, unlike something such as poker or blackjack or any game that might have a bit of a learning curve, is that you can really jump in and play whatever you feel comfortable with. It all depends on your bankroll and risk tolerance. But if you plan on bringing, let’s say, $400 to the casino, you wouldn’t be able to safely play much of anything in that orange or red section, even on a small bet.
Otherwise, it’s going to come down to bet size, even on greens and yellows. At a few dollars per spin and under, having $200-400 is going to usually be enough to safely finish a play. But if you happened to find a huge bet on a game with a green designation, those same 10-15 spins, let’s say, are going to cost a lot more.
Personally, I like being prepared for anything I might come across, so I’m carrying at least $8,000 on me, with access to more if needed. Now, even if I find a good, but dangerous, play (red), I don’t need to play it just because I found it, but I want to be bankrolled for anything I may realistically find just in case.
If I were just starting out and maybe not super comfortable with everything right out of the gate, sticking with greens would make sense. See what you’re finding at your casino(s). I’m always a fan of lower-risk games, even now, so that’s certainly not a bad place to start.
I’d still want at least $500 on me in that case, but even $300 could get you through many plays if it’s smaller bets on greens or yellows. If I only had $300 or so on me, I wouldn’t want to find plays on much more than $2 per spin or so. It’s also game-dependent, as some plays really only ever will be a few spins, so I can’t give a 100% definitive answer.
Let me know if that makes sense, and keep the questions coming.
Totally agree ! Website is amazing and very helpful. My local gas station has 6 machines each machine has 12 games. I have found 7 ap games on these!. Now scouting my 2 local casinos. So easy with the web site.
