Pretty much anything categorized as “red” or “orange” by Ben, is something a lot of your run of the mill hustlers will not play. Either because it’s going to take too long, it requires too much money, or they’re plain ol’ scared of losing and/or skeptical of the edge on the machine.

I can tell you right now, that I personally don’t bother checking Buffalo Link and Phoenix Link unless I’m really really bored or I absolutely need something to coin-in on to maintain a free play offer or something. I’m skeptical about the edge, it’s rare to find anything high quality, and it’s a giant pain. So there’s a hint, there’s probably a lot of other APs who feel the same way about those games.

A lot of the games I seek out the most are not necessarily my favorites, they’re just things that are out of reach to a casino’s local hustlers that are running around picking off blues on Regal. Things like 4 or 5 digit must hit progressives, uncapped progressive jackpots, or even just bigger bets on things like Money Balls where even if people know about it, most of the locals that check machines can’t afford $40/spin.

Here’s one I’ve been finding a lot of plays on lately….Regal Link, I think people are afraid of it, I think they’re too tight on it, and I’ve been having an easy enough time coming up on setups like 69 amethyst/54 sapphire/43 amber. It’s very volatile compared to the original Regal, but it doesn’t even approach the volatility of something like Phoenix Link.
