For “similar games,” I just mean there is something about a game listed that reminds me of the game being discussed. So for Azure Dragon and Emerald Guardian, for instance, I wrote, “Any uncapped and volatile game with a mini, minor, maxi/major/grand; popular ones include Raise the Sails and San Xing Riches, Wolf Run Eclipse and Cats Wild Serengeti, and Buffalo Diamond, though there are many more.”

All of those games listed—Raise the Sails, San Xing Riches, Wolf Run Eclipse, Cats Wild Serengeti, Buffalo Diamond—will take different minimum numbers than what I have down for Azure Dragon and Emerald Guardian.

Now, as you can also see in this Azure Dragon and Emerald Guardian example, these are two different games (called “clones” or “skins”; see glossary) that do take the same minimum numbers. Azure Dragon is the more common version and has a big blue dragon on the screen, as you can see in the accompanying photos included. I don’t often see Emerald Guardian, but that has a big green dragon on the screen (pic here). Those two games are the same for our purposes and would take the same minimum numbers.

A more common example would be Regal Riches and Prosperity Pearl. Those look slightly different but should be played the same way.

Let me know if that makes sense. “Similar” just means there is some feature or game mechanic that reminds me of the particular game I’m writing about.
