I’ll give some examples of games I recently added to the site: Double Stack Up Pays (seems like an awful game, but not the point), Super Push Firebird Festival, and Magic Rockets. Especially for the first two, you’d need to play the game hundreds (maybe thousands?) of times to get an adequate sample.

But by the time I played those games that many times, it could be years from now. That’s not helpful when I have a website on advantage slots and people justifiably want to know when they should play them.

So, I can play them a number of times, watch as much footage online as I can, and talk to other folks who have played these slots too. Then I can give a ballpark on where I think the numbers should be (usually going on the conservative side), using prior experience on other somewhat similar games as well.

For games in this category, I’d be way more likely to actually record results and then adjust my numbers over the months ahead. That’s usually my go-to. The alternative is to wait it out, possibly get a little closer to the true break-even numbers, but then not have new games available soon after they come out. So it’s a bit of a balancing act at times.

I realize this is only tangentially related to your original question, but it’s what I was thinking of initially.
