I figure it’s not often that the Maxi overtakes the Mega at Emerald Guardian, but that happened to me here. This was at 2.64 per spin. I started playing with the Maxi at 67, and took the picture when I knocked it off. (It took eleven bonuses before I connected.)

Earlier in the day, I left that exact machine at 47-8-8 and decided I could do better than just “playing for points”, before catching it at 67 later on. What a debacle that would have been to play an Emerald Guardian Maxi from 47 to 82.

Wow! I have not seen that before.

Here’s another one that I thought was going to overtake the Mega but came up just short.

I noticed the Minor at 59 as I walked in, and I could see that Vern (playing) was not an AP, because he was watching each spin roll out instead of spinning fast. I was able to keep tabs on Vern at short range for a few minutes when I found a play on the machine next to his.

Vern seemed more than a little miffed when I hit the Maxi for 20 spins about a minute after sitting down. Then I had to watch from a distance after catching a sharp look from Vern as I walked past ten minutes later. My guess is that it’s unlikely that this bonus was enough to make Vern whole on the play, but maybe he hit something else to make up for it.

(This picture was taken at 3x magnification from a safe distance by “Paparazzo Chas”)

Hah! Man, what a brutal game.
