Yellow (usually not more than 40x, but I have seen some cases closer to 80x)
Minimum Play:
Each obelisk is split into three parts. My minimum: four parts of the obelisks filled.
Other:
There’s some debate over needing four or five parts of the obelisks filled.
Most of the time you won’t lose 80x your bet, but sometimes the obelisks will hold out:
Each obelisk is split into three parts and in the example above, we have the green and the blue two-thirds of the way filled. That’s my minimum: four parts of the obelisks filled. So while I’d concede something like the example above is better than what I’ll show you below, I’m sticking with four as the magic number:
As you can see above, we have two pieces of green, one of red, and one of blue. One more green piece will get us the random wilds feature, two more reds give us the expanding reels feature, and two more blues give us the multiplier wilds feature.
Some people think green is the least valuable, with red and blue being pretty close to even. If that’s true, which I’m not sure about, it’s close and shouldn’t be factored in when deciding on plays in my opinion.
As you spin, you’re hoping to collect green, red, and blue gems before you spend too much money. While you can’t combine features in the base game, you can in the bonus, though that happens completely by chance and is a hard bonus to hit.
