In the explanation for Cash Falls it is mentioned:

“Yes, there are cases where chasing two-away columns can be profitable if the coins are large enough, but in the interest of keeping things simple, I won’t explore that much here.”

Can we explore that here? I’m curious as to how large we are talking.  Also, what about two columns where they are two away?

It’s a good question, and it’s one where you can have a bunch of interesting boards if you start looking for plays beyond the standard one-away column. Like most folks racing through a casino, I just check the bottom of the screen to look for blue borders, but if you do take the time to go through each bet individually, you will find more plays.

I wouldn’t consider a single two-away column unless it got to at least 15x the bet, and then I’d only play if it were a single gap rather than a two-gaper. That’s because the coins are more likely to come in pairs.

But as you implied, it can get more complicated with multiple columns two away, or perhaps you have another column three away. Then you can start trying to factor in the number of active spins underneath each column and whether we’re talking about columns in the first two reels (the easiest to fill) or the others.

If I had two columns two away, let’s say, figure I’d want 25x the bet between them, but that’s admittedly a ballpark. And of course, you’d miss on filling these columns more times than not.

Bottom line: If I were to take the time to check each bet for plays in Cash Falls, I’d look for 15x-plus columns with a single gap. Of course, if I saw an active Mega, I’d always play for that (damn rare). And I’d usually play for an active Major unless it was a huge bet and I had a number of missing coins. That would definitely be case-by-case.

I hope that makes some sense, but let me know if it doesn’t.
